From the Jason’s Upstairs Bar Facebook page:
“Jason’s is closing it’s doors at the end of the month. It would seem that the power of one neighborhood individual’s talent of complaint has robbed us all of our right to party, see shows and in some cases, even make a living. It’s a fact when your mother told you that one rotten apple could spoil the whole basket.”
The “one neighborhood individual” is Peter Jung who sells antiques down Warren St. in Hudson. Jung co-founded Friends of Hudson has been a member of the Hudson Planning Commission and a board member with the Hudson Opera House. The bar says it will be closed by the end of the month. Talk around the counter at Musica of Hudson becoming a known music city probably remains just talk now.
UPDATE: Jan. 24 Register-Star story quotes Jason’s owner saying he will reopen at another location.
